Orchard Champions invest in the lives of residents at Mukti’s projects focusing on children Most@RISK.
What are Orchard Projects?
Orchard Projects are Mukti satellite campuses scattered across India. As of January 2025 there are sixteen (16) Orchard Projects caring for girls and boys. One is categorized as a nutrition center where food is provided daily to over 100 children. Eight are Day Care centers (about 475 children) where the children come during the day. Usually, this is after school hours for a nutritious snack, tutoring in schoolwork, and for spiritual nourishment. The remaining seven projects are residential (about 220 children) where the children live during the school year.

Who Are The Children in These Projects?
Children in Orchard Projects all come from extremely poor circumstances. Families are unable to care for them and Mukti provides nutritious food, spiritual nourishment, and the opportunity to attend school (although Mukti does not operate these schools). Some children come from families who are day laborers earning less than US$1 per day. Others come from tribal settings where there are few opportunities to move beyond the tribal lands. Others are street children with no home and sometimes no family. All of these children are Most@RISK of human trafficking situations.
